Ancient Seafaring to Houston Schools | Archaeology Now Houston Education

One of the many endeavors that Archaeology Now does is school education in both public and private school systems.

Yesterday, our director, Becky Lao along with board member, John Standish, began a two week project about ancient seafaring. Taking a boat (a gift from the country of Bolivia to us) to classrooms across Houston.

On Tuesday alone, we saw 375 kids and educated them about Bolivian culture and seafaring. We will continue this project through the end of next week and will end up educating 3500 students. This is beautiful boat will end up as a permanent exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in the new year as a gift from us.
